"Now, the flip side is I think that the United States and the West generally, we have to educate ourselves more effectively on Islam. And one of the points I want to make is, is that if you actually took the number of Muslims Americans, we'd be one of the largest Muslim countries in the world. And so there's got to be a better dialogue and a better understanding between the two peoples." Mullah Barack Obama
A couple weeks ago Pres. Hussein, er, Obama said we weren't a Christian nation. Now we know why. In which direction do we have to pray?

Of course we are a Muslim country. Our president is a Muslim.
ReplyDeleteEnd of story. Why else would he bow to the king of Saudi Arabia.

ReplyDeleteThis is, of course, absurd. Harping on Obama's name as a sign of his being a Muslim is about as appropriate as assuming a guy named Richard is a Christian. Hussein is a relatively common Arabic name (though the only Hussein anyone cares to compare him to is Saddam), which makes it an absolutely meaningless talking point if you know anything beyond CNN's coverage on the Middle East. There is, in fact, a very large representation of non-Muslim Arabs (particularly Christian Arabs) on the Arabic Penninsula and in northern Africa. This, of course, ignores his very well documented background in the United States, but that's not convenient for the critics, I know.

You really can't think of another reason?
